Vanessa Hudgens is an American actress and singer, born on December 14, 1988, in Salinas, California. Her talent was revealed since she was only 8 years old, when she started to play in musical theatres. Vanessa Hudgens starred in local productions like Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, The King and I, The Music Man, and Cinderella. There was no doubt that Vanessa Hudgens was a talented kid, but some people did not think that she would make it into the big world – Hollywood. To their surprise, after several auditions for commercials and television shows, Vanessa Hudgens got a role in a television commercial, so she and her family moved to Los Angeles, the place where the career of many artists was launched.

Vanessa Hudgens then began to have appearances in television shows: Still Standing (2002), Robbery Homicide Division (2002) and The Brothers Garcia (2003). In 2003, Vanessa Hudgens was playing her first role in a movie, in the drama Thirteen. In 2004, she also had a role in Thunderbirds, a movie that was not very appreciated by the critics. However, Vanessa’s performance was noticed and so, in 2006, she got the part that would change her life forever: Gabriella Montez, in the Disney Channel production High School Musical. The part was great for her, and she considered herself lucky to be able to sing and act at the same time.

The movie became very popular, especially among teenagers and young people, so Vanessa Hudgens was becoming a star. One year later, in 2007, High School Musical 2 came to follow the first movie’s success. Vanessa Hudgens had millions of fans already. After that, she starred in movies like Bandslam, Beastly, Sucker Punch and High School Musical 3 and she is currently working on Journey 2:The Mysterious Island and Gimme Shelter, which are scheduled to be released in 2012. Vanessa Hudgens also has a recurring role in the second season of the television series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Vanessa Hudgens also released two music albums and she has been highly awarded for her multiple talents.
